Dr Zaslav is the Past President of The International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) He is a Sports Medicine specialist who treats Knee and Shoulder injuries at Ortho Virginia, in Richmond VA and is a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University. . His research interest has been in Articular Cartilage regeneration and repair since 1996 when he performed the first cartilage transplant in Virginia. Dr Zaslav is a fellow of AAOS, ICRS and member of AANA and AOSSM and Board member of Ortho Virginia. He graduated from SUNY Binghamton, Albert College of Medicine and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Stony Brook University NY, and fellowships in Sports Medicine and NYU and finally completed his training as The Shoulder fellow at Lennox Hill Hospital, NYC.
